What we actually do
A colour does not act alone. Put a red next to a green and both change. Move the line between them and they change again. Give one of them four fifths of the surface and the relationship becomes something else entirely.
Most colour advice stops at the swatch. It tells you which colours go together and leaves the hardest part unsaid: in what proportion, and in what order. That is the part we work on.
Every set we publish carries the pairing and the proportion together, because one without the other is not usable. That is the whole idea, and everything we make comes out of it.
Why it is built this way
Because proportion is what people get wrong. Anyone can pick two colours that look good in a palette app. Fewer people can say how much of each, where the smaller one should land, and what happens when the surface changes size. Those decisions are what separate a piece that works from one that almost works.
So we publish the rule alongside the pair, and we are specific about it, because vague advice is the thing we are trying to replace.
Where we are
utusori is operated by Premium Framework Inc., a Canadian corporation in Ottawa, Ontario, and by Vodallo LLC in the United States. Which company you are dealing with follows the country you are buying from. Both are real, registered companies, and we name them because you should know who you are transacting with.
What we have made so far
Colour work, published openly. The sets, the colour cards, and the studies on this site are ours, free to look at, with nothing gated behind an email.
Our first physical release goes on sale in February 2027. It is in production now. We are not going to pretend it exists before it does.
How we work
We are small, and we would rather say so than perform being bigger. That shapes a few things you will notice:
- We publish schedules as ranges, not promises, and we move them in public when they move.
- We say when something is not ready. The alternative is being caught saying it was.
- We would rather hear that a pair is wrong than be told it is lovely.
